This course explores curriculum theory resources and innovations in early childhood education. Strategies to motivate students and resolve conflicts will be examined. Inclusive approaches for children with special abilities, diverse populations and technological advances will be explored, providing best practices in the field. Students will develop, design and implement age appropriate curriculum. Supervised field experiences are a major component of this course.
The course is delivered online, but employs a pedagogical approach in the delivery of Voice-over PowerPoint Presentation, because of the nature of the learners enrolled in the Early Childhood Care and Education programme.
