It will provide the skills required to plan and structure the environment for effective teaching and learning. It will also provide opportunities for the emerging teachers to understand and utilise knowledge about child development to facilitate children's learning. The course will also provide the trainees with the opportunity to develop content and every-day learning activities and to execute these activities in early childhood settings with the guidance of supervisors. Practical immersions will enable emerging teachers to relate theories and concepts with classroom processes and prepare them for working in ECCE settings.
The course is delivered online, but employs a pedagogical approach in the delivery of Voice-over PowerPoint Presentation, because of the nature of the learners enrolled in the Early Childhood Care and Education programme.
